all too soon, 2 weeks have passed & i miss anaesthesia already.. maybe not as bad as emed(with withdrawal symptoms & all) but i still found it to be quite a nice speciality to go into, esp. for girls....the lifestyle seems quite gd with no long ward rounds except for pain rounds, no clinics(unless u are an MO or reg) and u get to sit in an aircon place the whole day....haha...perhaps one reason why I enjoyed my time in sgh was the working environment & the anaesthetists i met who always seemed happy & ever so willing to teach & impart skills to med students even though our failed intubations, plugs and wrong bag & mask skills probably gave them much more work to do... maybe i'll consider doing anaesthesia as one of my MO postings next time, but that's a long way more....haha
