watched over the hedge today at marina sq.....found it really funny at parts cause the characters are so adorable and likeable, esp the baby porcupines!! haha....quite a gd movie in all, one that i would recommend although watching it today burnt a hole in my sis's pocket...hehe...$9.50 each for 3 pax.....should have waited and bought the DVD instead...then can watch it over and over again!! hahaha...like LOTR.......i think i watched that at least 5 times already.....my sis is now thinking of buying the x-men 3 dvd instead of watching it in cinemas....smart move considering that the cinema is probably fleecing you everytime you watch a movie...imagine their profit margin!!

anyway, i think i finally understand why pple came up with the phrase 'monday blues'.....i'm feeling it right now...the thought of getting up early to work tmr and not having a break except for lunch(an hour which seems to fly much faster than the rest of the work hours :( hopefully this wk will fly by fast enough.....anyone game to meet me in raffles place for lunch?? haha...

started work today and i will be working until end june...all this in a bid to earn enough $$ to pay for my nz trip....i now know how hard it is to earn $$, doing mundane things day in day out to have enough to put food on the table and provide for ur family....for that, my dad has my utmost respect.....i guess it's kind of gd in a way that i'm paying for my trip, as i finally understand the value of money and how hard it is to earn....i've learnt to be more frugal, cutting down on eating out with friends, watching movies, etc.... it's amazing how little $20 can get u these days....perhaps only one movie ticket n a meal in town...even fast food meals cost at least $6, not counting transport fee hikes n stuff....parting with ur own hard-earned $$ is more painful that spending someone else's =) i'm sure everyone will agree on that....hahaha.....
anyway, i'm just thankful i got a job to provide for the trip!

went out for dinner with yun and angie....my wonderful yaya sis yun..haha..haven't seen her in ages n she hasn't changed at all...haha...maybe hair a bit more golden this time...lol...and i'm in awe at the amount of sushi she n angie ate at sakae sushi while waiting for me 'cause the bus was caught in a huge traffic jam....argh....but i had a gd time...although it was rather short tonight n because poor yun n angie were so tired...haha...yun couldnt even keep her eyes open drinking her cocoa...haha...i succumbed to drinking an iced cocoa with whipped cream on top...=s horribly sinful, but pleasurable while it lasted...haha...of course right after that comes the guilt.....
rushed home after dinner just in time for my current "favourite" drama serial....and a note to mich: "I will not inhale the moonlight to increase my "yin" energy (even though i have no idea what my yin energy is but i think i have enough of it) " heheh...

and i'm finally on the road to earning $$...

anyway, PDCP is finally over!! YES! i crapped out 2 essays and i honestly have no idea how it went....i hope i pass.......=s...after PDCP i went to holland v for lunch with deborah n sheryl cause we had to go back n play badminton later......my arm is currently aching very badly...i couldn't even hold a glass just now without feeling like i had no strength to tightly grasp it....the sad state i'm in after months of inactivity....hahah....mich, we should play games more often! (and flooball doesnt count....dont like the game)

sigh....still trying to read thru my entire stack of notes for PDCP ONCE....i'm still at the healthcare set and only at pg 9...it's so tiring & i can't remember what they are writing abt...argh.....so behind time now cause i had a job interview today plus tuition from 4-6pm....no time to read and digest....hope it's not so cheem that i cant understand the question tmr....

and my sis just commented after watching CNA that she thinks Young Ming is handsome.....EWWWW....*gags* (u have my condolences cram)

went to settler's again today (2nd time) with my anat grp....and we met fish n aud's entourage there as well! haha....both me n fish made mich very angry cause we didnt play floorball in the end....sorry mich =) but i had fun at settlers....although it was really crowded and the toilets are BAD....albeit slightly better at clarke quay than at holland v...it smelled of ammonia and for the sitting toilet, the moment u close the door u realise that your leg room is the only space btw the door and the toilet seat...how horrible is that??? other than that, had a gd time playing citadels again...hahah...it's a really fun game esp when yikang is so predictable(but he still won the first game...beginner's luck i tell you...hahaha) and i won the second round!! at last!!
the other game we played was called "settlers of catan"....yiks said it was fun to play so we decided to play that....

other than the fun afternoon, the rest of the morning was BORING.....pdcp...ARGH

tmr is the dreaded PDCP which ruins my nice break from sch....why do i need talks on "the psychological self" or "the social self"??? such a waste of time....and i definitely do not see the need for an exam to test us on this after the talks....argh.....the sad state we have come to when we need talks on how to communicate with our future patients....=s
and i want to borrow da chang jin dvds!! hahaha....i've been bitten by the korean bug...the irony of it all is that mich was the one who introduced me to the show because of the food, but now i'm the one faithfully following the show while mich has lost interest because there is no more food on the show...hahah....the medical stuff being discussed on the show is actually quite interesting...not sure if it's true though.... can't believe i'm hooked on a korean drama....

and i still want to earn $$$$

finally i can use the comp...all thanks to my wonderful sister to is studying for her MRCP part 1 and she has to practice her questions online...since i'm still living in the archaic days of dial up, i can't go online for long as it will cost a lot...and my sis is being mean by asking me to wait for freebies b4 i sign up for broadband...ARGH....so now i am deprived of internet and msn for the next wk.....sigh.......thank gdness her exam is next mon....and to those who had their supps postponed, gd news for some, bad news for others....you have my congrats/sympathies......now on to play some puzzle thing..

went to gelang patah in M'sia for seafood dinner on sat evening....such a great change from eating out in spore....smelling nice fresh air in an ulu place and having a nice long car ride to the seafood place....my aunt and sis's bf came along, so 6 of us squeezed into my car(no prizes for guessing who had to sit in the most uncomfortable position during the trip =s)....had so much food and it's really quite cheap....until you add in the cost of petrol and the toll charges(which are absurdly exhorbitant-SGD$15)...we had 3 plates of crabs, some clams, baby squids, rice and noodles...yum yum....and after that my aunt said she was game enough for durian dessert so we ended up at geylang eating durian!! hahah...oh my...the amount of food i ate that night.....bad for everyone's cholesterol and triglyceride levels...hahaha....but it was really fun.....after the durians we adjourned to my house to watch the election results, cheering loudly whenever the other parties won...hahaha....really enjoyed that night....

today i went to JB to shop with my relatives....didnt buy much as there are more and more s'porean shops like samuel n kevin infiltrating the shopping centre already....kind of defeats the purpose of going away to shop right?

speaking of malaysia, i should have been somewhere else on the peninsular now..........

no longer angry....perhaps a little jaded...haha...oh well....anyway, today is polling day....and jia's bday too...happy birthday jia! feeling quite upset that i am unable to vote this time around....after all, the hottest contest is happening in my GRC(aljunied)....if i was able to vote, i would probably not vote for a certain ruling party...haha......they didnt even come round to my house at all...just sent lorries with loudspeakers to drive around my house....and yesterday was the only time they had pple on the lorries....and UNKOWN people...not even one of the candidates...haha...so me, being perhaps a bit out of my mind at that time, shouted from the window of my house, "where is george yeo??" hahahahahaha.....my parents were so scared they might mark my house in the future...hahah....at least i didnt say anything defamatory abt anyone, so i wouldn't need to bother abt drew & napier lawyers showing up at my door =) haha....i probably shouldnt go into politics!

I am currently in a very very angsty mood this morning....certain people will know why.....I can't stand people who dont keep to their word and people who back out at the last min....if you have a valid reason, fine, but dont say that you are busy when i already told you the exact details how many weeks ahead and i didn't change the dates at all....so much for my time and effort....all gone to waste....all the calling, messaging, bugging of people to reply and CONFIRM......i now know what claire is going thru....u have my deepest respect and thanks claire =).....perhaps next time i should just keep my mouth shut and not volunteer anything anymore.....or maybe there shouldn't BE a next time.....

finally after a month's wait, the results are out.....phew...i'm glad i dont have to do any supps and i can enjoy my hols without any reservation.....and a note to michelle lim: u must go to church ok??? remember your promise..... =) haha.....

yay! got a new nokia phone....its the one that is currently on offer at $0, nokia 6020...haha....my mum needed a phone so she offered to take my old one & i get the new one! so nice of her...haha...but as she puts it, she doesn't need so many functions so she's contented with a simple phone....
just watched chronicles of narnia on dvd yest (a bit slow, i know) and i think it pales in comparison to LOTR....i mean LOTR was just superb, the fight scenes and all...i esp love the battle at Helm's Deep...narnia was a bit too toned-down with the battle sequences....but the little girl(lucie) is so cute!!!!


and i'm stressed!!! trying to find sponsors, set questions and earn money all at the same time! thanks to fish who has helped with the questions....
anyone willing to donate to the "money for annalisa"(MFA) fund?? hahaha
