At The Cross
Oh Lord You've searched me
You know my way
Even when I fail You
I know You love me
Your holy presence
Surrounding me
In every season
I know You love me
I know You love me
At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There's no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now
You go before me
You shield my way
Your hand upholds me
I know You love me
And when the earth fades
Falls from my eyes
And You stand before me
I know You love me
I know You love me
You tore the veil, You made a way
When You said that it is done

A MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!! may this season be filled with love, joy, peace & blessings from God!on a smaller note, i gave myself a little christmas present by buying this cute & meaningful t-shirt for myself =)
it's so nice right! the cross is actually made up of "plasters" which arent real plasters but i think the message comes across so nicely...i knew i had to buy it when i saw it in j8...We are the ReasonAs little children, we would dream of christmas mornand all the gifts & toys, we knew we'd findBut we never realised, a baby born one blessed nightGave us the greatest gift, of our livesWe are the reason that He gave His life,We are the reason that He suffered & diedTo a world that was lost He gave all He could giveTo show us the reason to live

back from camp! it's been a wonderful 3 days in malacca for camp, a time of just waiting upon God and praying out His plan for our lives...after all, He is our Daddy God & He will always give us His best... Really enjoyed myself even though it rained continuously during the time we were there, with only at most a 1 hour respite....our camp was held at El Sanctuary in malacca, this nice kumpung-style retreat on a hill run by a christian family...it was really quite fun & the ammenities(own bath/toilet with hot H2O, queen-sized beds, fans) were very gd even though it was only a wooden hut on stilts..
some photos of the place...looks quite nice right?

clockwise fr top: all together now, shimei-me-jun, san looking like a deer in the headlights, me-mei
(more photos later)anyway, each hut can accomodate 6 pple & i stayed with aunty karen, ah-san, ah-jun, shi mei & min...ah-san was super funny...if i had a nickel for every time she made me laugh/did something funny, i would be rich by now...haha..there was this one incidence where she was sitting quietly on the bed talking to me when suddenly she started waving her hands madly in the air! hahaha...it turned out she was trying to shoo this mosquito away from her! i nearly keeled over laughing.......sessions were very gd and the games were quite fun this yr...kudos to the youth comm for their hard work in planning all this....=)since it was raining heavily the entire time we were there (and as u probably know by now malaysia is flooded), we had our games out in the open where we got soaking wet & i nearly stepped on a toad out in the field...it was also quite sad that we didnt manage to go on the night trail in the jungle which the family organised for us & involved us crossing a (small) river on a rope bridge(no, not the kind with 2 ropes & a plank in the middle but the kind with ONLY 2 ropes, one of top of the other) cause of the heavy rain which caused the river to swell & its currents were too strong & dangerous for us to cross on a rope bridge...in a way we were quite blessed to have stayed on a hill as there was no flooding & as we soon found out on the way back to s'pore, how devastating the rain was.....malacca town was flooded and on the north-south highway, for the first time in my life i saw one side of the highway submerged in muddy water & traffic had to be diverted to the opp side of the expressway....plus the plantations along the highway were flooded & most were almost submerged...oh yes, there was even a cow running along the highway!! haha...it must have escaped from the flooded plantations & it was so funny seeing the officials trying to catch it....haha...to sum it up, it was a very memorable & enjoyable trip that involved some retail therapy on the last day in malacca town where i bought 4 shirts, ate ice cream twice(all thanks to val), saw Prof Benny Tan shopping(ARGH!) all in a mere 2 hours....Daddy GodHonour & majesty,Glory & powerBe to Almighty God,Be to my FatherDaddy God, it's wonderful to be with youDaddy God, so good to be your child,Daddy God, it's wonderful to be with youAnd I live to worship you with all my life

it's the 17th of dec today which means one more day to youth camp in malacca! yay! i will be away from the 18-20th dec for camp & i'm looking forward to it...should be really fun on the trip up with all my church friends acting like their usual selves & us creating as much noise as we usually do...haha...ok, so maybe most of the noise is contributed by me *sheepish smile* ....but trips should be fun right? enjoy yourself & make as much noise as u can before u wear yourself out and fall asleep on the bus...haha..which reminds me that i should probably bring dramamine along just in case someone gets car sick...after all, we know who benefitted the most from dramamine in NZ dont we, mich? =) i'd better start packing now lest i forget something really impt & essential and only realise it on the way up to malacca....no more posts for the next few days!

had a happy day today as i finally managed to collect my new specs!
ok...so maybe it looks nicer in real life...haha...
it's basically brown with orange at the sides....it's quite a cool pair of specs and it was very reasonable...my aunt paid for half of it as my christmas present this yr & it's the first time i'm trying out a frame that is more funky and probably not something that i would choose normally...but it's a nice welcome change from my previous pair (which was rimless)...i think i look quite nice in it(haha..how shamlessly i'm praising myself) =) even my mum, aunt & sis think so, so 3 other pple cant be wrong, can they??
ah, the simple things in life that make you happy =)

shall blog abt my day yesterday...it began as usual with church in the morning & with me getting up ard 7.30am cause i was playing for worship yesterday....then after church we had gen-y prayer followed by musical rehearsals for christmas that started quite late and ended at abt 5pm...i then rushed down to the airport for xueting's surprise birthday celebration...the poor girl thought that she was gg to orchard to see the lights instead of having her party at swensen's at T2...why the airport u ask? cause xt LOVES pilots...haha...or basically any man in uniform...and as we like to joke with her, that includes firemen, policemen & security guards...hahaha...so xuetings birthday celebration started with her opening her presents which included 2 huge balloons & a nice make up kit which we got for her.....and u can probably guess what happened next as wan qin, xueling & angie jumped at the chance to doll her up at the table itself....so poor xt was left having to endure them putting on blusher, lipgloss & lots of mascara...haha...angie was SO in her element...hehe...but xt looked quite gd after that...too bad all the lip gloss was gone though by the time xt was done with her birthday icecream....all in all a fun but very tiring day....

had a nice anat grp outing today at great world....it's been a long time since we've gone out & had lunch together, squeezing in todd's alfa romeo (7 pple in one car--a once in a lifetime experience) deciding where to eat.....so the day started with me catching a bus in the pouring rain & as a result my jeans were soaked even though i was carrying an umbrella....met pigeon, todd, yk & marcus for lunch at jack's place....quite a satisfying n reasonably-priced set lunch where i had the ribeye steak....maria, christine & todd's significant other(serene) joined us later for bowling....bowling was fun as i havent bowled for a very long time, plus it was really amusing to watch yk fall down 5 times while bowling & pigeon using his cute little "curtsy" style to bowl.... didnt manage a strike today although i had a few spares.....and for the final game the girls went up against the guys & we beat them! woohoo! all thanks to serene who's sch bowler...haha...perhaps a somewhat unfair advantage for us =)after bowling we adjourned to ben & jerry's where it was my first time trying out their ice cream...had the cookie dough flavour which was quite gd...i tried the chunky monkey as well but found it too sweet for my liking.... and at $4.50 a scoop it's really very exhorbitant.... too bad i didnt take any photos of the funny things that happened at the bowling alley....& thanks to marcus for giving me a lift from orchard to great world!school tmr....what a bummer =(

one more week to hols! (or rather a study break =s)
just finished doing my pbl ppt on pancreatitis & learnt that gallstones are the main cause of acute pancreatitis, along with alcoholism as the second most common cause....
cant wait for when pbl comes to life in an actual patient in yr 3...speaking of which, tried on the different stethoscopes at MIF today....it was quite funny cause everyone was trying to listen to everyone's heart and see which stethoscope picks up sound better...i found gd subjects in ivy & ningqi who lent me their hearts..haha...anyway, i've decided to get the 3M cardio III one cause it can be used for paeds as well and can save me the trouble of buying 2 stethoscopes....the sound is not bad as well... the welch-allyn brass(deluxe) stethscope actually had the loudest sound(cause brass is supposedly a gd conductor of sound) but the head piece was way too heavy for me.... why are the stethoscopes so ex? speaking of price, i heard that some M1s are already buying their stethoscopes this yr cause they want to beat the GST hike... i think the M1s are too onz already la...must relax and enjoy ur nice, fun M1 life without T/F horrible microb and pharmaco mcqs....
anyway, here's a pic of me trying on some reindeer hairband and looking quite retarded...haha..25 more days to Christmas!!
