At The Cross
Oh Lord You've searched me
You know my way
Even when I fail You
I know You love me
Your holy presence
Surrounding me
In every season
I know You love me
I know You love me
At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There's no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now
You go before me
You shield my way
Your hand upholds me
I know You love me
And when the earth fades
Falls from my eyes
And You stand before me
I know You love me
I know You love me
You tore the veil, You made a way
When You said that it is done

Thanks to everyone who celebrated my 21st birthday with me as well as those who wished me, be it by phone, email or friendster!!
It was a nice small celebration with food(that i didnt get to eat much), fun, family & the gd company of med friends....it was actually quite a nice ambience by the river, although it did get a bit hot sometimes...glad everyone enjoyed the food, esp. the guys(& mich of course =p) who really ate a lot...haha....
Thanks for all the wonderful presents & the thought that went into getting them, thanks to my family for the dinner, thanks to mich(for being my official photographer) as well as to those like fish, wm, hw who also helped to take photos, thanks to serene for being such a wonderful cake cutter(my mum was very impressed by that...hahaha), thanks to my cg mates(chew lip & gh) for bluffing me(as usual) that another cake 'from down under' was coming, thanks to marc for saving my candles from being blown out by the wind, thanks to my anat grp for helping to eat half the cafe, thanks to angie for looking so pretty for the occasion(my mum says u are very sweet & chio!), thanks to yilin, sheryl & evelyn for being one of the nicest pple i've known and finally to everyone whom i may have inadvertently missed out, my sincerest apologies as well as my utmost thanks for everything....

Welcome to clinical life.

havent updated in a long time cos basically the hols have been really relaxing for me...hahha...and by relaxing i mean waking up late, sleeping late & watching lots of tv, surfing the net, shopping, etc. in btw....sadly, just as i am getting into the hang of things during hols, sch is starting next week!!! argh!! the dean's office just had to put a damper on things by scheduling only THREE meagre wks of hols after csfc...we didnt even get a proper break after our pros b4 csfc started (1 wk to be exact).....at least it's clinics now, albeit with patho & pharmaco lects still scheduled to torment us....anyway, we had a belated birthday celebration for GH on wed as well as a csfc CG outing today, both at astons.....food wasnt that gd, maybe because for both occasions, we went when it was the peak dinner/lunch period....oh well...but i liked the hickory bbq sauce which mich said was nice when she tried it the last time.....after GH's celebration on wed, we decided to go karoke @ teo heng, & CL & GH really succeeded in trying to scare me by painting teo heng to be a really sleazy place with call girls & stuff & they even offered to ask for a girl to join us in the room.....so it was with this apprehension that i slowly walked over to teo heng with them, only to realise that teo heng is NOTHING like what they said....it's really quite clean, smoke-free & cheap....however, it specialises in chinese songs, so i was lost in translation when GH & CL started belting out chinese songs one after another....but overall the experience was fun....btw, my church is having a youth service this saturday at 1.30pm @ capitol building....there will be nice music & a gd youth speaker at the service....all are welcome to come!! =)

school holidays really lighten my wallet....over these past 2 wks, i have spent $$ on a plethora of things & my my, retail therapy does do wonders.... here's a random list of things i've spent $$ on so far:- a pair of asics sports shoes (cause i lost my soles on my previous pair)- ipanema sandals (that had a 40% discount & i really needed a new pair since i also lost my soles on the old nike pair)- movie tickets- food, food & more food(esp. with mich & wm..hahah)- topping up my ez-link card (due to the numerous mrt/bus rides that i have taken)- a pair of shorts at half price- socks to match my new sport shoes =)anyway, i gtg now & fetch my sis from work!

mich & fish are back from hols! familiar phone calls from a private no. are a nice welcome to the week long lack of interesting news....hope u guys had a great trip & enjoyed urselves thoroughly over there!anyway, i went out with mich to watch shrek 3 today @ tampines mall since i promised her that i would wait for her to come back b4 watching it......shrek 3 is absolutely hilarious!! the front part of the movie was extremely laughter-inducing & mich was practically cackling away at some parts.....hahaha....havent had such a gd laugh since dory tried talking to the whale in finding nemo......i highly recommend watching shrek 3 cos i found it much better than the 2nd movie....same goes for oceans 13 as well...it was much better than oceans 12(which had a rather messy plot)after the movie, we decided to eat the famous bedok bak chor mee but after driving there, to our horror we discovered that it was closed! so i suggested trying the HK cafe @ east coast but alas we were too early(it only only opens at 6pm & it was 5.20 when we reached there)....unfazed, mich decided to try the bak chor mee at the chai chee minced meat noodle shop that was just next door.....after trying a bowl of mee, i suggested we eat at astons for dinner, not realising it's closed on mon.....so we drove there only to see shutters that were down =S =S... we finally ended up at HK cafe again & satisfied ourselves with 'mango king' drinks & the wonderfully sinful french toast....i'm supposed to be losing weight & it's obviously not happening....argh

met up with angie & yun for lunch yesterday @ sakae sushi at wheelock....i think sakae has become our designated meeting spot whenever yun is back in town....hahha....usually yun eats a lot of sushi (i think the record was 13 plates??) but yest she wasnt in top form, notching only 5 plates....angie also ate very little & i think i ate the most(a ramen) even though i'm the one who's supposed to have 'teething' problems...haha...after that we went shopping for a while b4 angie had to go off.....nice seeing yun again & i cant believe 1 yr has flown by since we last saw her....& next yr she'll be back in sg for a yr so we can meet up more often...i must say, yun is still as chio as ever, & she was even approached by some girl scouting for new faces on ads....hahahah....if only u were gg to be here longer, yun, then we could see ur face plastered on ads everywhere! hahaha...oh yes, i got my med & surg posting for yr 3..... med @ NUH & surg @ AH.....i'm alright with the postings even though they are quite far away but the gd thing is, i wont feel the urge to pon patho & pharmaco lects....i think i may do that if i were posted to CGH instead...can u imagine the amt of travelling i would have to do?? & i think AH for surg isnt as bad as it sounds cause i think the drs will have more time to impart knowledge to us, unlike in SGH where my surg tutor was way too busy to teach us anything....plus i prayed for my postings, so i'm trusting God that this is where he has placed me & everything will turn out fine...Amen!another gd thing abt my posting is that mich & fish have the exact same postings as me, along with wm....so i guess lunch will be gd with mich & wm providing transport to sniff out all the gd eats around the hospitals....& mich should be very happy she's so close to alexandra hawker centre where she can enjoy her avacado milkshake & claypot laksa withe extra ham....haha...looking forward to yr 3 now.....clinics are so much more fun!!

it's been 2 days since we celebrated mich's 21st birthday @ aquamarine....the food was really gd(as usual) and everyone ate a lot.....it was the most i've ever seen fiona, yilin & meichin eat....hahaha...and if u see how much they eat usually, u would have been most impressed with their performance that night....
anyway, the highlight of the night was the cake! it was the coolest cake i have ever seen & i'm sure weiming would have been very impressed with it...hahaha....the cake was like a celeb whereby the moment it was brought out, everyone lost interest in the food & started taking photos of the cake for almost a full 5 mins.....i think i want a cake like that too....according to mich, the shop also makes other expensive cars like the lamborghini & porsche....mich's cake even came personalised with her actual car licence plate no....and the spoiler & wheels were totally edible...the wheels were made out of pure chocolate while the spoiler & the rest of the blue 'paint' were made out of marzipan....yum yum... some info abt the cake: it weighed 5kg & the interior was chocolate sponge....when it came down to cutting the cake, i think no one wanted the beautiful cake to be cut but the deed had to be done & there were a lot of moans when mich finally cut the cake into half....

photos of the dinner & cake....
Thanks mich for the wonderful dinner & here's wishing you a very early 21st birthday & a great trip to russia!!
