At The Cross
Oh Lord You've searched me
You know my way
Even when I fail You
I know You love me
Your holy presence
Surrounding me
In every season
I know You love me
I know You love me
At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There's no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now
You go before me
You shield my way
Your hand upholds me
I know You love me
And when the earth fades
Falls from my eyes
And You stand before me
I know You love me
I know You love me
You tore the veil, You made a way
When You said that it is done

it's been a slack weekend as usual, my time being filled with worship pract, repaying my sleep debt for the week, trying to catch up on notes piled sky-high on my table but being unsuccessful at it and meeting up with james who's back from melb & angie....
as me & angie have concurred, james still looks the same...haha...same dress style, same look, even the same kind of bag...haha...hope james doesnt kill me if he reads this now...but same is gd right? it means u havent aged much =) haha...trying hard to redeem myself here...hehe...anyway, we met up at raffles city where we ate at ding tai fung & later we adjourned to coffee club for some nice muddy mud pie....always nice to know that ur friends havent changed much and are still their crappy selves...haha...anyway, today i was quite upset cause my sim card became blocked...i have no idea how my pin no. was changed without my knowledge & as a result i had to buy a new sim card for $18!! *heart pain*....plus i've lost all my contacts on the card, including my vj classmates, my med anat grp & pple like wenphei, wm, michelle, louisa, pok, etc...pls msg me ur hp nos! thanks!well, the only gd thing abt today was that i had lunch at billy bombers with yilin, zhen zhen, xt & whitney after sch cause zhen zhen had 1 for 1 vouchers...so we ended up ordering massive amts of food that all of us couldnt finish...i think we wasted a lot of food...heheh...oh well...i'm so full and i think i'm not gg to eat at billy bombers for a long time....i think i'm feeling some post-prandial sleepiness already....argh....zzzzzzz....

as michelle the GRATE has requested for me to update my blog, i shall do so....
had another anat grp outing today where we went out for lunch + bowling once again at kim seng... & when i say anat grp, it consisted of a grand total of 6 pple (including serene & me).....haha...not quite the same numbers we had last yr for anat lunches after prac...anyway, lunch was quite nice as we ate at this nasi padang place at zion rd....as usual, lots of delectable food was brought to our table with yk polishing off 2 plates of rice (size says it all right?haha...he's >1.8m tall, angie *wink*)
so after lunch we adjourned to kim seng plaza for an arm workout & today i was quite happy cause i finally managed to break the 100 pinfall mark! hahaha....oh the little milestones i have.....my best score was 139, which beat my previous best set years ago(120)...how sad right?
haha...i was being bo liao so i took this.... =)
okie, i'd better go & catch up on the piles of notes collecting on my table...horrendous the amt of paper one can amass from sch in a day, let alone a week... =S

apparently there was this 8.3 richter scale earthquake that hit japan yesterday and as a result, there was this tsunami warning going out to all the countries in the Pacific ocean....so everyone was probably busy evacuating pple from the coast and moving them further inland to prevent a repeat of the dec 26 tsunami...and as everyone waited with bated breath & prayed, little did they know that a 10CM wave would hit their coast! WOW! 10 CM!!! i'm seriously not kidding...as evidence, i took a photo of channel news asia's 'breaking news' tag and it says "10cm wave hits NE Japan" hahahah!!!
i mean, isnt 10cm shorter than my ruler? and i dont have to have an earthquake to experience 10cm waves in Singapore(who's waves are prob still higher than 10cm)....which brings me to my other questions--how exactly did they measure the wave? how did they distinguish this 'massive' wave from the others & decide that this is the wave caused by the tsunami??
maybe this was a typo error but apparently my dad heard this over the radio as well and 2 media sources can't be wrong, can they? and later on in the evening they removed the tsunami warning, so i think there wasnt any serious repercussions from the earthquake save for a 10cm wave....hahaha....
what an interesting piece of news....

another very wet and rainy day today.....it has been pouring almost non-stop since abt 1pm and hopefully this time s'pore wont flood....how thankful i am to be living on the 3rd floor...haha..unlike those poor pple in M'sia i'm reminded of bailing water out of their low-lying houses unsuccessfully....
oh yes, another reason to be thankful--i passed my bacteriology ca! haha...it went much better this time unlike the last horrendous ca...all glory to God, yeah? and now that we've moved on to study fungi, seeing all the horrible pictures at pract just makes u wonder how anyone can possibly wait for their foot or nose to look THAT bad before they seek medical help? i mean by then everything is so distorted and there are draining sinuses discharging pus...how gross it that?
here are some pics to show how gross it is: Madura's foot & rhinosporidosis
argh..just discovered i need to print a 85pg pdf file for lect tmr...my printer is gg to cry!!

bacteriology CA is finally over! woohoo! went out with grace to celebrate her very very belated birthday at bugis today....had lunch at billy bombers & we had 6 tiny cockraches crawling on our table! plus later on a bigger one crawled on the back of my chair and of course i was quite freaked out & the manager came to kill the cockroach...already quite disturbed & horrified abt the state of hygiene & cleanliness of the restaurant, i swore i would not go back there to eat again....and in a bid to prevent us from reporting this incident to perhaps the ministry of environment, the manager appeased us by giving us free tea...haha...oh well...at least the cockroaches werent crawling on my food...plus i said grace so it should be fine...hahah....anyway, my vj class is having a class gathering on the 27th of jan....so here's a 'shout-out' to perhaps yun, mya & james....kiat yi wants to know if u guys will be back in sg and coming for the gathering...it's gg to be the last one b4 some of the guys fly off for further studies....yup...so pls reply ky asap okie? thanks!speaking of gatherings, it's always nice to meet up after a long while to catch up with each other...still remember those wonderful times back in the v-block classrooms where we had mass dances & celebrations as a class....although everyone's scattered to the ends of the earth now for further studies, it would be nice to know if everyone's still the same friend u got to know & cherish in jc....would they still remember the mass dances? the april fool's jokes we played on our teachers? the "superman" song we played for talentime?we may have moved on to a new chapter in our lives but hopefully that time spent as a class-03S15- in vj will always have that special place in our hearts.....I know I do.

It's a brand new year!! sorry that i havent been posting for sometime...been busy with lots of family dinners over christmas & the new yr...basically lots of food which my family + sis's bf try to finish....esp. on new yr's eve when we had 2 steamboats on 1 table cause my aunt & uncle came over for dinner...i think my mum practically bought the entire stock of vegetables from johor, plus half of the sea(i havent seen so many prawns & clams in my life)....really a somewhat "healthy" feast as i ate lots of veggies n little carbo...haha..anyway, looking back at 2006, it was once again a blessed yr in many ways...God was & is still faithful =)...the NZ trip was one very gd example where He provided for the trip with me getting a gd paying job, granting us absolutely fine weather at all the scenic places we went to even though we were in the middle of winter with one of the heaviest snowfalls in yrs and of course answering my prayer for a weaker NZ currency while we were there (0.997SGD=1NZD as compared to the 1.09SGD=1NZD now)...Really thankful for His love & blessings on my life!As for what I did on the first day of the new yr? had a church bbq at my sis bf's house in appreciation for all the hard work for christmas....once again it was another feast with lots and lots of food as poor huisan overcatered and we had so much fish & satay left unbbq-ed...after that, we played 5-5 basketball at the court and my team won! haha..thanks to jeremy who was the star of the night...---all in all, a great day!----
