At The Cross
Oh Lord You've searched me
You know my way
Even when I fail You
I know You love me
Your holy presence
Surrounding me
In every season
I know You love me
I know You love me
At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There's no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now
You go before me
You shield my way
Your hand upholds me
I know You love me
And when the earth fades
Falls from my eyes
And You stand before me
I know You love me
I know You love me
You tore the veil, You made a way
When You said that it is done

yay! so happy today cause my sis bought me an ipod nano as my belated birthday present...haha...its not the new ipod nano but the first generation....why 1st gen u ask? cause i think it looks nicer than the new aluminium casing which strangely reminds me of the outdated ipod mini...plus the old ipod was on offer....so i (or rather my sis) paid $348 for a 4GB one plus a free charger and leather case.....quite worth it right?? at least i wont have to spend time on the comp to charge my ipod which would make my sis very happy cause once again she needs to use the comp to practice her mrcp part 2 exams.....argh...blogger is being ploddy once again and i'm waiting forever to upload the photos of my ipod...haha....oh well, term break's here and the days just seem to fly past without me doing much...maybe it's because i've been shopping the past 2 days with my sis n mum looking for dresses for my cousin's long awaited wedding on mon....time flies when u are having fun =) and i havent even done my research yet!! Ivy n Yk!! HELP! thank gdness dr terence hasnt remembered yet! ARGH!!! Thrice blogger has said that my photos cant be uploaded!!! argh!!!*wail of desperation*

the saga yesterday all began with a purple note (not the small purple note, mind u, but the big one).....it was first brandished when Ms "Reward-for-entertaining-me"(RFEM) wanted to buy a pair of maroon pumps at wisma....at first, yours truly thought she was joking when she said that she ONLY had that denomination of note without any small change but it turned out to be true....Thus began our frantic search(with a heightened sense of security now) to find some store that would change the $.....we tried giodarno (no), Lee hwa (no-they prob thought we were trying to cheat them with a counterfeit note) and even the money changer on level 3 refused to change it for us! dismayed but not disheartened by this setback, we still carried on shopping and walked into Topshop to look at clothes.....This is when it started to get really interesting =)So we entered topshop and saw that they had an even nicer pair of red pumps which unfortunately cost an exhorbitant $229.....while Ms RFEM was trying on the pumps and contemplating whether to buy it or not, up comes this salesman whose first question was:"ms, do you wear heels often? cause you look like the kind that wears heels a lot."To which ms RFEM replied: "i wear them quite often, but how can you tell?"Salesman: "i can see from the shape of your calves. Others who dont wear heels have this kind of curves while yours is this shape." (and he proceded to show the various kinds of 'curves' with his hands)- At this point, i was starting to feel that the salesman was a bit odd already, but ms RFEM still had no clue-All this while, Ms RFEM was still prancing around in the shoes wanting to buy the pair but she knew that it was too ex for her budget....the salesman, seeing how interested she was to buy the shoes(last pair) leaned close to her and whispered:"what is your budget? i tell u what, i am willing to give u a 20% discount which i dont give to others, but pls dont go around telling other pple or i may loose my rice bowl."- this may not sound odd but at that time he was so quick to offer the discount using his staff card =) -After which ms RFEM replied: "really? how much is it after discount?" ($178)knowing that $178 was still ex but really liking the shoes a lot, ms RFEM still didnt want to remove the shoes & looked very torn btw getting the shoes or not....At this point the salesman leaned in once again and said: "i can give you the 20% discount but what is my reward??" both of us were quite stunned so we didnt answer at first but once again the salesman asked: "What is my reward?" and this time we followed his eyes to her shirt which had the words 'Reward for those who can entertain me'......by now i was getting really freaked out abt this creepy and very hum-sap salesman who was probably not thinking very clean thoughts at the moment....Finally ms RFEM got quite freaked out too and said: "a big thank you."not wanting to hang around there any longer, ms RFEM told the salesman that she would think abt the shoes and he replied, "dont worry, there's still 2 more hours to go if you decide to get it." and smiled at us.....Both of us hurriedly said our 'thank yous' and fled topshop as fast as we could, after which ms RFEM vowed not the wear the shirt she was wearing again =)What an interesting night! I guess the salesman did manage to 'entertain' us after all!! hahaha =)*Names have been changed to protect the identity and privacy of the characters in the post*

a lot of things have happened over the weekend.....amazing what sept brings....a new "scandal" has been born, albeit with a certain amt of truth in it....all i can say is, fight for what u like and dont lead others on....hope that isnt too explicit =)anyway, on the topic of cgs and their formation, do i find pple who stay near me & are perhaps not so close to me or do i remain in my comfort zone? after all, i'll be working with them for the next 3 yrs....and familiarity with a person does reveal his/her work ethic.....oh well, i shall just concentrate on getting through m2 first right?sch ends early tmr! yay!

it has been a long time since i last posted something on my blog....sch's been real busy, with me trying to catch up with patho & pharmaco readings before the tutorials......somehow even mama robbins seems awfully long to read, not to mention katzung....=( immuno, microb and cofm have been quite bad, no thanks to a couple of horrible lecturers (one just rushed through everything while another looked like she was permanently sucking a "sourheads" sweet)......m2's been sort of a mad rush with u realising that u have double the no. of tracks(and hence readings) in m1.....so here i am typing this at 1am on a sat morning trying desperately to find info for pbl so i can compile it into a ppt by sunday and currently the internet and its various search engines have not been serving me well =( where's the wealth of info that the internet is supposed to have?? it's obviously eluding me at this very moment....i'm probably not making much sense anymore because of extreme tiredness and lethargy brought abt by a week of lectures, cofm and patho tutorials and lab.....oh yes, all the best to pple like ningqi, weixiang, ronnie, etc for the physio quiz....u guys will do NUS proud!
